Special effect contact won’t go in eye?

I bought some special effects contacts for halloween and I want to get used to wearing them before the actual day. I can’t however get them to stay on my eye. Every time I try to put them on they just fall back out. They’re definitely not inside out, I have enough solution on the contact, and I am touching the eye they just won’t stay in no matter what I do. My mom even tried to help me put them on (She’s been wearing contacts for like 20 years) Does anybody have any suggestions?

If they are falling out before you even get a chance to blink with them on , then they likely just aren’t touching your cornea all the way around which creates a tension to hold them on.

If they are falling out as soon as you blink , then they are not placed correctly or area complete wrong base curve for your eyes to start with.

Halloween contacts are pretty well all in an 8.6 curvature which covers a fairly wide range of corneal curvatures…but not all people are in that range. Your corneas could be steeper or flatter than what an 8.6 can fit.
