- Chosen by Voters I don't think you would have any problems. Even if they are autonomous from Spain, they're not a separate country and they're still part of the EU so you shouldn't have any problems using your National ID card to travel there. Have fun! 1 year ago 100% 1 Vote 1 person rated this as good

- Chosen by Voters You say you have dual citizenship but don't mention what the other country is. If you hold a US passport and a passport for a EU country, then you use the EU passport to enter Spain. But, if it's from a country outside the EU, then you are most certainly better off entering on the US passport as you say.You do not need a fully paid itinerary – that's for people who are required to obtain a Schengen Visa before entering Spain. It's unlikely that you will be asked to show proof of your financial status, but you'd be pretty stupid if you visited Spain without enough money to pay for your accommodation, travel, food etc. While you are expected to have a certain amount of money available, this is only to ensure that you don't work while in Spain.I've travelled to Europe many times, including Spain. I'm Australian and we enter Europe under the same conditions as Americans. And I've never been asked to show Immigration officials any information apart from my passport. I have been asked when I intended to leave Europe, but that's it. Three times I've been to Spain with a backpack, to walk one of the pilgrimage routes. So, I had no accommodation booked and no itinerary, but it wasn't an issue. 8 months ago 60% 3 Votes 2 people rated this as good

If you do lose your passport, you will need to go to the nearest embassy or consulate (with about $130 cash in hand- local currency or USD, and any ID you have left) during business hours and report your passport as lost. Just say "emergency passport" to the guard and they'll usher you in ahead of any visa lines outside of the embassy. You'll have to fill in a form with all of your information (place of birth, parents names, ect), as well as a description of how you lost your passport. If you have enough time left before you will return to the US (usually more than two weeks), they will issue you a new regular passport in Spain and mail it to your address in Spain. If you are planning to leave Spain soon, they will issue a temporary "emergency passport" that is only valid long enough for you to finish your trip. If you get the temporary emergency passport, you'll have to apply for a new passport in the US when you return. Source(s): Was with a friend when this happened- try to avoid it altogether, although it's not the end of the world. 3 years ago Thanks, this was very informative. It's for a school project, but it's good information to know anyways, just in case.

Yes, there are cruises that do that but they are not always regularly scheduled every week. So you may not be able to find one going when you want to go. Instead you may have to go when the ship goes. And then the same would apply to your return; you would have to return when the ship returns. In addition, some cruises leave from other ports outside Florida. Here's one from Ft Lauderdale to Barcelona: http://www.princess.com/pb/itineraryDeta… Here's a cruise to Spain from Texas: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis… Here's a return voyage: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis… Your best bet for planning a transatlantic cruise to Spain, or Europe, and back would be Cunard Cruise line. It operates ships out of NY city on a regular schedule (every week) and you could best schedule your trip around their sailings. Just take Amtrak to NY city and back to Florida. Amtrak's train station in NY is not far from the cruise port, quick and easy taxi ride. You may have to take your cruise ending in England and then take a train to Spain to get the best rates and dates.http://book.cunard.com/find/pb/searchRes… 2 years ago Thank you for your help. This clears a lot of things and how I will plan my vacation.
